Cosmetic and Laser Treatments

Doctor led. Evidence based. Personalised care.

As a Dermatologist led clinic we understand the biology of skin ageing, how to diagnose underlying skin conditions, and provide treatment that prioritise both skin health and cosmetic outcomes.

All procedures are provided by Dermatologist, Dr. Lisa Connelly, or by our trained and experienced Dermatology nurses under her supervision.

VBeam Laser

The VBeam pulsed dye laser is the gold standard for treating vascular skin conditions. Targeting redness, visible blood vessels, and pigmentation with precision, without damaging the surrounding healthy skin. At iDerm, VBeam is one of our most sought-after treatments, used for everything from rosacea and facial redness to birthmarks and acne scarring. Treatments are quick, non-invasive, and require minimal downtime.

iDerm is one of only two clinics in New Zealand offering VBeam laser treatment for birthmarks, making us a destination clinic for families across the country.

  • VBeam delivers short, precise bursts of light at a wavelength specifically absorbed by oxyhemoglobin inside blood vessels. This converts light to heat, causing the vessel to collapse and be naturally cleared by the body, a process known as selective photothermolysis. Healthy surrounding skin is left completely unaffected. The device features a built-in Dynamic Cooling System to maximise comfort and safety throughout treatment.

  • VBeam is used to treat rosacea and facial redness, broken capillaries and spider veins, port-wine stains and red birthmarks, inflammatory acne and post-acne redness, red and pigmented scarring, angiomas and vascular lesions, and sun-induced pigmentation and age spots.

  • Some redness, mild swelling, and occasional bruising at the treatment site is normal and generally settles within a few days. Many patients notice improvements in skin tone, clarity, and redness shortly after their first session, with results continuing to build over a course of treatments. The number of sessions recommended will depend on your specific condition and how your skin responds, Dr Connelly will discuss this with you at your initial consultation.

Fine Lines, Wrinkles & Maturing Skin

Fine lines and wrinkles are a natural part of ageing, but subtle, targeted treatments can help soften their appearance while still preserving natural movement and expression. At iDerm, we offer anti-wrinkle injectable treatments using Botox® and Xeomin®, both clinically proven neuromodulators that work by temporarily relaxing the specific facial muscles responsible for dynamic wrinkles (those caused by repeated expressions like frowning or squinting). By reducing muscle activity in these areas, the skin is able to smooth out, resulting in a refreshed, more youthful appearance.

Our approach is always tailored and conservative. We prioritise soft, natural-looking results that enhance your features without compromising facial expression. Every treatment is carefully planned around your individual facial anatomy, skin condition, and personal goals. Treatments are available with Dr Lisa Connelly or an experienced dermatology nurse.

  • We use Botox® and Xeomin® — both clinically proven neuromodulators that work by temporarily relaxing the specific facial muscles responsible for dynamic wrinkles, those caused by repeated expressions like frowning, squinting, or raising the brows. By gently reducing muscle activity in targeted areas, the overlying skin is able to smooth out — resulting in a refreshed, more rested appearance without affecting natural movement or expression.

  • Common areas include forehead lines, frown lines between the brows, crow's feet, brow lifting, bunny lines, lip lines, chin dimpling, jaw slimming/bruxism, and hyperhidrosis.

  • Every treatment at iDerm is carefully planned around your individual facial anatomy, skin condition, and personal goals. Results typically begin to appear within a few days and develop fully over 1–2 weeks, with effects lasting approximately 3–4 months. A follow-up appointment can be arranged to assess your results and make any refinements if needed.

Rejuran Bio Skin Booster

Rejuran Bio is an advanced skin regenerative treatment that works at a cellular level to repair, restore, and strengthen the skin from within. At iDerm, Rejuran is incorporated into microneedling treatments, enhancing delivery of its regenerative molecules deeper into the skin, where they can work most effectively to promote skin regeneration, improve elasticity and enhance overall skin health.

Rejuran i

Rejuran i is an advanced skin regenerative treatment for the eye region.  It targets fine lines, crows feet, dark circles and creepiness around the eyes.

  • Rejuran contains polynucleotides (PN) — highly purified DNA fragments derived from salmon that are biocompatible with human skin. These molecules stimulate fibroblast activity, encouraging the production of collagen and elastin while supporting the extracellular matrix essential for skin structure and function. The result is improved skin thickness, elasticity, and resilience, alongside reduced inflammation and enhanced overall healing capacity.

  • Rejuran is particularly beneficial for skin that is compromised, ageing, or showing signs of environmental damage. It improves skin texture, softens fine lines, and enhances overall skin quality — making it a strong option for patients looking to address cumulative skin damage rather than isolated concerns.

  • Mild redness and sensitivity following treatment is normal and generally settles within a few days. Tiny bumps and mild swelling may develop with the procedure and these usually subside in 1-3 days. As the skin regenerates over 2-3 sessions, improvements in hydration, texture, and overall skin health become increasingly visible — resulting in a stronger, more resilient complexion that continues to improve over time.

Biostimulating Injectables

Healthy, hydrated skin is the foundation of everything we do at iDerm. Our injectable skin quality treatments of Sunekos® and Profhilo® are medically advanced, minimally invasive hyaluronic acid based options designed to improve skin hydration, texture, resilience, and radiance from within. Rather than changing how you look, these treatments restore what time and environment take away, delivered with precision by our experienced dermatology team.

  • Sunekos® is a scientifically formulated injectable combining hyaluronic acid with a precise blend of amino acids — including glycine, proline, and lysine. This combination stimulates fibroblasts, the cells responsible for producing collagen and elastin, to support regeneration of the skin's structural framework and improve elasticity, density, and overall skin physiology. Sunekos® is suitable for younger skin looking to slow early signs of ageing, as well as mature skin needing to restore structural support. Treatments are delivered as a course of three sessions, spaced two weeks apart.

  • Profhilo® is a highly concentrated, pure hyaluronic acid injectable that spreads evenly beneath the skin to deliver profound hydration while stimulating collagen and elastin production. The result is improved firmness, texture, and radiance — a naturally refreshed complexion rather than an augmented one. Profhilo® Structura extends this technology to the deeper fat layers, lifting and contouring areas such as the jawline and cheeks while addressing skin laxity. Profhilo® treatments consist of two sessions spaced 4–5 weeks apart, with maintenance recommended every 6–9 months.

  • Following treatment, mild redness, swelling, or small bumps at the injection sites are normal and generally resolve within 24–48 hours. Improvements in hydration, elasticity, and skin texture develop gradually over the following weeks — with the end result being skin that looks and feels naturally healthier, not treated.

Microneedling

Microneedling is a clinically proven skin rejuvenation treatment that stimulates the body's natural collagen and elastin production. Improving skin texture, tone, and resilience from within. At iDerm, every treatment is performed using the Dermapen® 4 device. The patented technology using 16 needle cartridges to create micro channels into the skin to allow for delivery of hydrating serum or our range of biostimulating products. For optimal results, we recommend a course of three treatments spaced 4–6 weeks apart.

Exosomes - Growth Factors & Peptides

Exosomes are also a form of regenerative skin care, The growth factors and peptides contained in exosomes work to expedite skin healing, improve texture, enhance collagen stimulation. Exosomes are used in combination with microneedling treatments of the face, neck and scalp. Scalp exosomes help to stimulate hair follicles and increase hair density.

  • Microneedling can help soften fine lines, improve the appearance of acne scarring and pigmentation, and enhance overall skin quality. Using ultra-fine, medical-grade needles, controlled micro-injuries are created in the surface of the skin — triggering the body's healing response and encouraging the production of collagen and elastin, two essential components for firm, smooth, and healthy-looking skin.

  • At iDerm we offer enhanced microneedling treatments for patients wanting to take their results further. We also offer exosome therapy, which supports skin regeneration by promoting collagen production, reducing inflammation, and accelerating healing. Rejuran® polynucleotides (PN), derived from salmon DNA, can also be incorporated to repair damaged skin, improve elasticity, and support long-term skin health.

  • Following your microneedling session, some redness and mild sensitivity is normal — similar to a light sunburn — and typically settles within 24–72 hours. As your skin heals over the following weeks, you can expect improved texture, brightness, and firmness, with results continuing to build as collagen production increases over time.

Skincare Advice

Navigating skincare can feel overwhelming, endless products, conflicting advice and trends that come and go. Our approach to skincare is evidence-based and medically led, focused on the function and integrity of your skin, not just its appearance. We offer cosmetic consultations with our dermatology nurses, giving you a supportive, no-pressure space to talk through your concerns and build a routine that actually works for you.

  • As a dermatology-led clinic, every skincare recommendation we make is grounded in clinical knowledge rather than trends. We consider your skin type, concerns, lifestyle, and long-term skin health — tailoring advice to you as an individual rather than offering a generic routine. Our goal is education and transparency, helping you make informed decisions and achieve healthy, balanced skin over time.

  • Daily broad-spectrum sunscreen is one of the most important steps in any skincare routine — and one of the most overlooked. UV damage is a primary driver of premature ageing, pigmentation, and skin cancer, and its effects accumulate silently over time. At iDerm, SPF is non-negotiable. We stock a range of medical-grade sun protection and can help you find an option that works with your skin type and lifestyle.

  • Our dermatology nurses offer $50 cosmetic consultations designed to simplify your skincare and help you build a routine that actually works for your skin. It's a relaxed, educational conversation with no overwhelm — and your consultation fee is applied directly to any product or treatment you choose on the day.
