COVID-19 UPDATE
AUGUST 2020
Dr. Lisa Connelly
Dear current and future patients
At level 2, Integrative Dermatology will be open for face to face consultations.
We will begin to see patient with the following conditions:
In order to ensure proper social distancing we will schedule larger gaps between patients to allow for only 1 patient in the clinic at any given time.
In case of overlap we will ask patients to wait in their cars and will ring them once the waiting room is open.
Our staff will be wearing masks, not because they are ill, but to protect everyone in their close proximity.
All patients visiting the clinic will be screened for COVID symptoms prior to entering the clinic room. On occasion we may ask patients to wear a mask.
Patients with diagnosed skin cancer requiring excision will be contacted and scheduled for their surgery.
Pre surgical planning is more extensive as we will be screening for COVID symptoms prior to and on the day of surgery.
Patients with a severe skin rashes or undiagnosed skin condition requiring a skin biopsy will be seen in person.
Patients with a high risk for skin cancer with a need for full body skin examinations will also be offered appointments.
All rooms and equipment will undergo extensive cleaning before and after every patient encounter.
Our staff will be in proper protective equipment pertinent to the each individual encounter or procedure.
As a general rule Dr. Connelly and the iderm Nurse will wear a mask and gloves when interacting with patients.
For procedures they will wear gowns, protective foot wear and goggles.
As a general rule if you feel unwell and have a fever, cough or upper respiratory symptoms please stay home, contact your GP and re schedule your appointment with us.
We continue to offer tele dermatology services for all patients. All insurances are currently covering tele dermatology services.
For fees related to tele dermatology services please visit our tele dermatology section.
If you require a prescription, your script will be emailed directly to your pharmacy, a practice we plan to continue after COVID, given its convenience to you.
If you require blood tests, orders will be be faxed directly to Taranki Pathology Services, you will visit a laboratory (former Medlab)
of your choice at your convenience to have them done.
